Are You Playing to Win?
Or Playing Not to Lose?

Implementation

It's not what you know or who you know; It's about implementation.

It's not what you know. It's not who you know. It's what you implement that causes results.

Hi, Denise Roberts here. Years ago I came up with a formula of what I had been observing to help people get their vision, their goals, their big BHAG: big hairy audacious goal. And this is what it looked like: It was the goal that is implemented and integrated inside of an environment that is supportive, applied learning. A community will lead to game-changing results. Now, it is something that has pieces to it like accountability and scoreboards and all those kinds of things. But it starts with a vision. What is it that you want?

And then it's a matter of just coming up with the tactics and the strategies and the actions and as you take them testing and measuring. What worked? What didn't? What did I learn? What would I do differently versus just throwing out the baby with the bath water? "Oh my God this didn't work," and starting all over again.

It's a process and that's what I wanted to share with you. And we'll unfold these in future weeks because there are components and pieces to it. But I just want to start you with the big formula, the big picture. It's your vision that's up here, the results you want are down here. But what's missing is this middle which is the implementation and integration and the execution of all the little pieces and the steps. But to do that and stay on course because other things will come up and start to pull you away - to be inside of a supportive applied learning community.

So we'll talk more about this next week - till then, take care!
